What you will be doing:

As an Applied Data Scientist at Lumere you’re responsible for building and managing the predictive models that power our product and business.  You’re a part of our Data Engineering team, where internal automation and data scale problems are daily challenges, but you’ll also work directly with Product Managers to conceptualize and develop new applications of our data that further our evidence-based mission to improve healthcare.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated individual with excellent communication and technical skills and a proven track record of delivering robust and actionable models to production. He or she will be experienced with a wide variety of data science techniques, tools and platforms, able to articulate the benefits of each and appropriately balance speed of delivery with accuracy and maintainability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaboration with product management and engineering to integrate new prediction models into our software solutions
  • Improving the speed and accuracy of our existing models and the infrastructure that underlies it

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience in quantitative analysis; 2+ years of data science, predictive modeling, or applied statistics experience; Masters or PhD in a quantitative field preferred

Client Success Associate

What you will be doing:

As a Client Success Associate, you will be responsible for supporting our internal client success team in driving engagement, satisfaction, and business development within Lumere’s enterprise accounts. He/she will develop as an advisor and begin to manage core accounts using data to identify and measure opportunities for Lumere to drive value with our solutions. You will also partner closely with our Implementation team to run training programs for new clients/users and generate up-sell leads for sales.

Responsibilities include:

Clinical Pharmacist Advisor

What you will be doing:

As a Clinical Pharmacist Advisor, you will pair your clinical expertise with evidence to formulate and deliver actionable recommendations for value-based drug use in health systems. You will develop a new, comprehensive perspective on pharmaceutical spend and utilization trends and combine this with Lumere’s clinical expertise to advise health system leadership on opportunities to save on drug costs and improve patient outcomes.

The successful candidate will be an experienced clinical pharmacist looking to broaden their impact by serving as an expert on medication use initiatives across multiple health systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Be the go-to expert in health system pharmaceutical spend strategy and medication use; use pharmacist industry expertise to build a knowledge base of market trends, medication utilization management, vendor landscape, and reimbursement and billing issues
  • Stay current on Lumere’s latest clinical evidence reviews and recommendations
  • Use clinical pharmacy knowledge to engage with pharmacist clients in informed discussions (e.g., scope of work, content deliveries, gathering feedback)
  • Apply basic pharmacoeconomic analytic principles to clinical and financial data to inform value-based decisions

Qualifications:

Data Engineering Lead

What you will be doing:

The Data Engineering Lead is responsible for managing all aspects of Lumere’s Data Engineering team. This position ensures that all data engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are created and followed in a way that leads to outstanding, on-time deliverables that fulfill Lumere’s business needs. Data Engineering is a multidisciplinary function at Lumere, including everything from schema design and database performance tuning to internal automation driven by our various machine learning models. The 4-5 person team comprises software engineers, a Database Administrator and one or more Data Scientists. Our Data Engineering team also provides direct support for discreet Platform Engineering and Data Operations teams.

The Data Engineering Lead has outstanding backend technical experience and the ability to successfully coach and guide other engineers as they develop their skills and their careers.  The successful candidate will be an effective communicator with a focus on listening and responding to engineering team needs while guiding the work and setting the priorities of that team.  They also share a passion with their teammates for delivering a market-leading, web-based solution used to transform healthcare. This position reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer.

  • Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and plan for new data related business requirements, ensuring the details of those requirements are fully fleshed out before development begins

Implementation Engineer

What you will be doing:

As our Implementation Engineer at Lumere, you will lead our efforts to collect healthcare data from our constituent healthcare systems. You will develop and execute a plan to standardize and automate extraction processes in support of our software solutions.

The ideal candidate is an experienced IT professional who has worked closely with (or within) health system IT departments and is familiar with the unique challenges associated with data extraction from HIPAA covered entities. In this position, you would collaborate with our development and product management teams to standardize the data we need and then work with health system personnel to set up and automate extractions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop standardized data specifications and extraction definitions and procedures
  • Work onsite with customers to write queries and troubleshoot data extractions
  • Prioritize implementation schedule and tasks and communicate progress to internal stakeholders
  • Work with ETL engineers to automate data intake

Qualifications:

  • An IT generalist skill set with extensive ETL experience (especially SQL, SFTP/FTPS, task automation with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Perl, Powershell, etc.)
  • BS/BA degree in healthcare informatics, information systems, computer science, or a related information technology degree preferred
  • 5+ years experience in healthcare IT within a hospital or service provider that works with hospital data systems is preferred, but not required if you are a quick study
  • Extensive knowledge of one of the following EHR systems, Epic or Cerner, is preferred but not a deal breaker
  • Familiarity with existing healthcare databases, data sources, and industry standard measures and code sets (e.g. ICD9, CPT/HCPCS, DRG, NDC) would be a plus

What you will be doing:

The Sales Engineer is an excellent storyteller with solid technical skills. You’ll also work cross-functionally with our solutions teams to understand the current features of our platform, stay on top of industry trends and provide prospective customer feedback to help devise enhancements for our applications across Lumere.

The successful candidate will possess strong sales acumen coupled with the technical knowledge to seamlessly maneuver through web-based solutions explaining the pertinent product differentiators as it relates to respective customer market dynamics and data. They will solve for potential roadblocks, often on the fly and with a strong presence in front of customers and senior management . Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with the Lumere sales team to identify and qualify business opportunities for product demonstrations and presentations

Product Manager

Office Manager

In service to this mission, our Office Manager brings their enthusiasm and creative problem-solving to keeping the trains running on time and in the right direction. This critical individual serves as point-person for all office-related needs and supports the most important resource Lumere has – its people. You are an energetic person who doesn’t mind wearing multiple hats and is experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks. Pharmacy Researcher

What you will be doing:

As a Pharmacy Researcher you will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive synthesis of drug information and clinical evidence to generate the content used to create strategies for cost savings and improved patient outcomes.
